Abstract
Christians mapped the Old Testament onto the New Testament. For instance, Moses was seen as a prefiguration of Christ. This comparative move is normally called a ‘Christian typology’. In this seminar, I suggest that there was a pre-Christian, Roman typological way of thinking, which the Christians adopted and adapted.
