On 23 April 2026, we will convene for the first-ever Wolfson Tool Factory meeting—an experimental workshop dedicated to the co-production of theory-based management and consulting tools. The idea is simple but ambitious: To bring together social (systems) theorists and consultants working with for-profit, non-profit, and public organisations in order to explore how advanced social theory can be translated into actionable, market-ready instruments. Rather than another academic seminar or practitioner talk, this will be a co-design session. The focus of Wolfson Tool Factory sessions will lie on iIdentifying conceptual “raw materials” from social systems theory; developing prototypes of theory-based management tools; exploring viable modes of co-production between academics and practitioners; and discussing branding, positioning, and potential routes to market.

To help us organise the session effectively, please confirm your participation in advance (Professor Steffen Roth, sr2156@cam.ac.uk).
