- đ¤ Speaker: Thomas Heimburg, Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, Denmark
- đ Date & Time: Wednesday 08 December 2010, 11:30 - 12:30
- đ Venue: Seminar Room, Centre for Physics of Medicine (PoM)
Abstract
The content will be about our recent intensive studies on electromechanical pulse propagation in biomembrane cylinders that explain many observations made on nerves, and the simultaneously occurring current fluctuations that are indistinguishable from protein channel events. It is a thermodynamic view on electrophysiology.
