Abstract
My talk will be devoted to certain planar random growth processes defined in terms of iteration of conformal maps. The models I will consider differ from the usual Hastings-Levitov models of aggregation in that preferred directions in the growth are present.
I will discuss both global rescalings and small-particle scaling limits, and I will indicate how the limit objects that arise can be described using the Loewner equation.
