Abstract
The topic of my PhD thesis (due to be submitted soon) will be secondary explosives, specifically RDX and HMX . I would like to present a summary of the work that I’ve done and what I found out over the past three and a half years on my journey through my PhD research. The ignition mechanisms of RDX and the beta-delta phase change in impacted HMX will be the major subjects discussed.
