Abstract
Abstract: What is the carrying capacity of our built environment? In 2006, the Planning Department of the HKSAR Government started the “Urban Climatic Map and Standards for Wind Environment – Feasibility Study” hoping to address the question. The project, recently completed, stated that in some urban districts, we have already exceeded our carry capacity. The study also established the data platform that planners could refer to for better policy making from now on. The lecture walks the journey of the last six years of the research work.
