Abstract
The IceCube Neutrino Observatory at the South Pole has reported 28 events initiated by cosmic neutrinos of ~TeV-PeV energies which are very unlikely to have originated from cosmic ray interactions in the Earth’s atmosphere. I will discuss the data and some possible interpretations – both astrophysical and involving new physics.
