- đ Venue: IRC in Superconductivity Seminar room
Abstract
Electrical interfaces between technical system and the biological system differs with respect to material and shape depending on their intended application. This talk will focus on different electrode designs and there applications. Designs for peripheral as well as for central nervous system will be compared. As on example the Cyberhand approach will be described in detail. Additionally to the designs and applications the production processes and testing methods of neural implant will be explained. Examples are micro-fabrication, assembling, encapsulation and implantation tools.
Series This talk is part of the Nanoscience Centre Seminar Series series.
