Many offenders are reluctant to divulge their motivation being their behabiours, such as those related to sexual deviance. I will review recent work in my laboratory and elsewhere that has used “indirect” behavioural measurement of attitudes to sex and to violence and discuss how these might be used in clinical and forensic practice.
