Structural energetics based on intermetallic reactions
- đ¤ Speaker: Chris Braithwaite, SMF Group, The Cavendish Laboratory
- đ Date & Time: Thursday 12 November 2015, 16:00 - 17:00
- đ Venue: Mott Seminar Room, Cavendish Laboratory
Abstract
Intermetallic reactions have a number of possible industrial applications and have been the subject of much research effort. The underlying physics of the reactions, and of the use of these composite materials in structural components however, is not fully understood. This talk will examine the results of a number of research projects conducted at the Cavendish, with a variety of international collaborators, that aimed to shed some light on these issues.
Series This talk is part of the Physics and Chemistry of Solids Group series.
