There are three histories of GNV Qs – the scant public record, the myths, and the ‘real story’. Whilst recognising that no single person’s view of history can be anything other than a subjective experience, this presentation will give an insider’s view of the development of GNV Qs – a story very different to the official line. This will present some insights into the complex battles ‘for the heart of the qualification’ – which ultimately resulted in the withdrawal of a qualification which had gained a key role in the system.
