Synthetic biology is a young field which seeks to apply engineering
principles to the genetic manipulation of biological systems. This meeting will introduce the field through a series of talks from leading labs in the US and Europe.
The meeting is open to all who are interested: no registration is required.
Light refreshments and hot lunches are available for purchase at the Cavendish Laboratory Refectory.
Tea/ coffee breaks will be provided free of charge.
Organised by the Cambridge Philosophical Society and the Cambridge Synthetic Biology Society.
The organisers are grateful for support from the Royal Society and the Cambridge Computational Biology Institute.
